Born Octavius, Augustus inherited chaos at just eighteen years old. Dismissed by the senate and blocked from power by rivals, he rose through strategy and vision. With the aid of Marcus Agrippa, he defeated Marc Antony and Cleopatra, reshaped Rome’s government, and ushered in an age of peace, prosperity, and cultural brilliance.
