I've been shaving with straights for years and this half-hollow blade is the smoothest I've owned, the satin polish glides with zero drag. The bocote handle adds a warm grip that feels secure even with wet hands, and it came shave-ready out of the box so I used it right away.

The knurling on the tang gives a surprisingly solid grip even with wet hands. Bocote wood handle feels warmer and more natural than plastic, and the blade took a keen edge right out of the box.
