This bulb knot is denser than my old brush, making a surprisingly rich lather with almost no effort. The 28mm silvertip badger feels incredibly soft on the face but still has just enough backbone for a good scrub.

The 28mm bulb knot feels dense and springy on the face, loading soap faster than my old brushes. It's clearly been well cared for—the silvertip tips are soft with just a hint of scrub, and the handle looks even better in person.

The photos didn't do the lather justice—this knot holds water like a sponge and the bulb shape spreads it across my face in about three swirls. For a pre-owned brush, the hair feels dense and springy, zero scratch on the skin. I've owned new brushes that didn't feel this broken-in.
