私は幼少期から若い頃まで騎手でした。私たちは常にできる限り多くのことを学びたいと思っていました。メキシコのバケーロは、馬術の最も偉大な専門家の一人でした。バケーロは、アメリカのカウボーイが登場する数百年前から、馬に乗って牛を扱っていました。人類の歴史上、バケーロほどの馬術の専門知識で牛を扱った集団はありません。

We have many customers from Central and South America, Spain, Portugal, The Caribbean and other places. There is much variation, even within countries. We want to honor the heritage. We could never do enough soaps to honor so much cultural variability. We’ll first honor those with Mexican heritage, followed by Puerto Rico and The Dominican Republic.

I was a horseman as a child and young adult. We always wanted to learn as much as possible. Vaqueros from Mexico were among the greatest horsemanship experts. The Vaqueros had been working cattle from horseback for several hundred years by the time US Cowboys came onto the scene. No group in the history of human civilization has managed cattle from horseback with the expertise of the Vaqueros.

Their horses were 1/3 smaller than horses in the US - about 365 Kg. They would rope a 900 Kg bull around the horns and then run circles around them so they would trip. This was very dangerous and required them to work closely with their horse.

We can’t think of a better way to honor Mexican heritage than to do a homage to the true experts of managing cattle from horseback.

A most excellent fragrance was required for this soap, thus it is inspired by Haltane from Parfums de Marly. Top notes of herbs and bergamot give way to saffron and pralines, followed by base notes of Oud and Cedar.

Scent strength and projection are a 4-5, as opposed to the 5-6 strength we usually have.
